Quiver requires a tape in one of the following formats:

  • HD CAM
  • HD CAM SR
  • Digital Betacam
  • D5

Please include 5.1 audio mix on the HDCamSR or D5 if available.

Files

Quiver requires a file in the following format:

  • Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)
    • 720×480 SD – 16:9 = 853×480
    • 720×480 SD – 4:3 = 640×480
    • 1920×1080 HD
  • Native Frame Rate (NTSC or PAL)
audio

Audio

Audio should be laid out in the following manner:

  • 1 – L
  • 2 – R
  • 3 – C
  • 4 – LFE
  • 5 – Ls
  • 6 – Rs
  • 7 – Stereo L
  • 8 – Stereo R

All tracks should be PCM Little Endian. Separate 5.1 audio is accepted as .WAV files sent as individual tracks. However, please note that there is an additional conformance fee as well.

**DVDs or BLURAYs cannot be accepted as source material.

video

Other Video Guidelines

  • Deliver either an HD or SD version. We do not need both. We do not accept 4K or uncompressed QuickTime files.
  • Textless
    • Beginning/end credits included.
    • No text in line of subs or CC.
  • No up-resed content.
    • (e.g.) 720p converted to 1080p.
  • No FBI warnings.
  • No mixed frame rates or mixed media.
  • You may not have bugs, text-tos, watermarks, URLs, or call-outs in the body of the video content. Text-tos, URLs and cut outs will likely be cut from your video to make it compliant with various store regulations.
  • For HD price point, 5.1 audio must be delivered with HD content if 5.1 has ever been created or sold on DVD/BluRay.
    • If 5.1 has never been created, the HD price point may be allowed with stereo only.
    • Stereo audio is allowed if DVD has only stereo and HD never created.
  • Do not deliver bonus content unless instructed to.
    • (e.g.) Interviews, behind the scenes after the credits, etc
  • No mention of 3D in 2D content
    • (e.g.) Spy Kids 3D should be Spy Kids 3 in opening and closing credits
trailer

Trailer Specific Guidelines

  • No website callouts.
  • No call to actions.
    • (e.g.) Buy now.
  • No release information.
    • (e.g.) Available on 12.12.12
  • SD trailers may be accepted with HD features.
  • 5.1 audio preferred, however, stereo may be accepted.
  • Trailers must be green band.
    • (e.g.) No nudity, foul language, etc.
  • A clip may be used if no official trailer is available.
episode

Episode Specific Guidelines

  • Every episode delivered in a consistent format.
    • (e.g.) 11 Eps of series all in HD or SD.
  • 720p is accepted for TV content.

Title Treatment

  • Layered PSD with 2 layers: title treatment, transparent background
  • Specs: 1600×680 pixels, 300 ppi, RGB 8-bit
  • Text flush with bottom left edge and extends either the full width or height of the image
  • The Title Treatment shall be cohesive to the title treatment included in the corresponding Display Art and be provided in each localized version of the title (if applicable). The Title Treatment shall align flush with the bottom left edge, extend over either the entire horizontal width or vertical height of the image area, and shall be designed for optimal visibility on a black background. Stacking the title and/or adjusting a slanted Title Treatment to be level (parallel to the horizontal edge) should be considered, when possible, to maximize the size of the Title Treatment within the image area.

Films cannot go live in the following territories unless they have been officially rated by that country’s ratings board:
